Rockford Equestrian Center located just north of Grand Rapids, MI is a full-service riding and boarding facility focusing on providing excellent care of both the horse and rider.  While REC focuses on the hunter/jumper and dressage disciplines with the help of two of the most respected trainers in the area, we also welcome pony club boarders, the western world and people just interested in learning how to forge a happy relationship with their equine.  Don’t have your own horse?  Not a problem at REC!  We offer a fine group of school horses who can teach you how to ride or accompany you to your next horse show! 

REC is rather unique as it offers indoor and outdoor arenas, as well as, a country facility so that even eventers can find a home here.  In addition, we have an outdoor lunging arena, and plenty of spaces to just take a leisurely relaxing ride. 

With 24/7 on-site care, you can be certain your horse will be completely cared for, whether you choose to board your horse in a private well-ventilated indoor stall where daily turnout is provided, or in one of the outdoor paddocks featuring run-in shelter and easy to access water tanks.  Several veterinarians, ferriers and equine dentists frequent the barn often and boarders may pick their own equine health support staff, though we are happy to help you select someone to fit those needs. 

Every Monday is Ladies Night, a special time to gather as friends for a group ride, an hour or two of socializing in our lounge, which overlooks the indoor arena.  Teens, too, have an organized event planned for them each month!
